The Spartan II no-till air drills offer a range of features making them well suited to pasture renovation and fodder crop establishment. The 07 series triple disc opener enhances versatility allowing this machine to seed a wide variety of crops in both no-till conditions and worked ground. Individual row shut off and double shoot product delivery means the Spartan can sow at a number of different row spacings and allow specialized applications such as alternate row seeding. The new generation Spartan includes features such as variable-rate hydraulic drive for precise application rates and prescription maps. The Spartan II is available in six and nine-meter working widths, with both models folding down to a compact three meters for convenient transportation on roads and between fields. All Spartan II models feature zone cultivation seeding, hydraulic weight transfer, and 250kg down-pressure for true no-till seeding. The 9m Spartan offers 60 or 72 rows, with row spacings of 152mm (6") or 191mm (7.5"), and includes two 3,500-litre hoppers suitable for seeds and dry fertiliser.

The 9 meter NTA907‐2 has a choice of 6" (152mm) or 7.5" (191mm) row spacings. Featuring double shoot to opener, true no‐till sowing with 250kg ground pressure on the coulter and a 3 meter transport width, these machines are ideal for farmers and contractors in pasture renovation and hay cropping areas.

Variable-Rate Hydraulic Drive

The variable rate hydraulic meter drive system has an integrated radar sensor to accurately measure ground speed. The metering hydraulic motor incorporates an internal speed sensor to monitor meter speed. The system uses the same hydraulic circuit as the drill’s hydraulic down-pressure function reducing the number of tractor remotes required.
